Lost Planet 2: Unlocking Special Charachters

One of the coolest features in Lost Planet 2 is the ability to use a character from past Capcom games in both online and multiplayer modes of the game.
Now that Lost Planet 2 is available worldwide, we got a secret to reveal as to how to get a certain character from the two versions of the game. Please remember that each of the versions of Lost Planet has their own exclusives that can be unlocked. There is no need for pre-order codes!

Frank West

Unlocking Frank West is only available for the Xbox 360 version. Make sure you have a Dead Rising save file on your hard drive to unlock him. To use him, head to the character customization page and select him from the Preset characters.

Albert Wesker

Resident Evil’s Albert Wesker can be obtained on both the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions. Similar to unlocking Frank West, make sure you have a Resident Evil 5 save file stored on your hard drive.

Gears of War Characters

Unlocking the Gears of War characters can be obtained only on the Xbox 360 version. In order to unlock the lead characters from Gears of War, finish the Campaign mode.

Monster Hunter Armor: Rathalos

Capcom announced that they will be releasing the PS3 exclusive Rathalos Armor skin on both the PS3 and Xbox 360 version via the Marketplace. It will be free and should go live on May 11th.

Editor’s Note: To use these characters in Campaign mode, you have to finish the story mode first.

Lost Planet 2 Multiplayer VS Demo Coming to PSN and XBL Next Week

Prepare to be blown away by the latest Lost Planet 2 demo coming your way next week on Xbox Live and the PlayStation Network. Get ready to hop in a vital suit, grab some weapons and battle with 16 players in real time. Featuring the “Turbulent Jungle” map from the online versus mode, the new Lost Planet 2 demo will include full chat support and stat tracking. While the demo will be available publicly on April 21 for Xbox 360 and April 22 for PlayStation 3, Capcom’s most avid fans will get a sneak preview of this demo beginning March 31 via community-distributed voucher codes for early access. Keep an eye out for the availability of early access codes coming your way right here on RTG!

Players who download and play the demo will be rewarded when they purchase the full retail version of Lost Planet 2 with immediate access to the Machine Gun SP which fires three round bursts.
